Biography

Bekir Atik, MD is an accomplished professor and surgeon specializing in plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery and is located in Istanbul, Turkey. Manufacturing in Kayseri in 1968, he was educated early in İncesu, Kayseri and graduated from the Medical Faculty of Uludağ University in 1993. He began his professional career as a general practitioner in Erzincan before entering the specialty training in plastic reconstructive surgery in 1997.

Dr. Atik finished his residency in the University of Gaziantep in 2002. In the same year, he began the academic career working as the founding member of the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in the School of Medicine in the Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. Being appointed as an Associate Professor in 2007 he also joined Istanbul Medeniyet University as the founding member of the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2011. In 2013, he received the title of Professor. Dr. Atik has rich academic background having around sixty international articles published and around twenty national articles published as well as reports presented at many conferences both in Turkey and abroad.
