Biography

As a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Bahair Ghazi, MD, FACS has spent much of his career practicing in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a co-owner of Atlanta Plastic & Reconstructive Specialists and practices aesthetic and cosmetic plastic surgery, breast reconstructive surgery and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is particularly adept at operating on women who have undergone breast surgery, using many of the most advanced and innovative techniques available.

Dr. Ghazi graduated from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2004, where he was in the top 10% of his class. After graduating, he completed a 5-year integrated residency in plastic surgery at Emory University with extensive training in all aspects of plastic surgery, both reconstructive and aesthetic. As a result of his extensive training and education, Dr. Ghazi is board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Since Dr. Ghazi has been in practice, he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications related to academic plastic surgery; for example, he has conducted extensive research regarding dermal matrices for use in breast surgery, effective surgical techniques and strategies to prevent capsular contractures, and assessing the outcomes associated with nipple-sparing mastectomies.
