Dr. Badar Jan, MD is a certified plastic surgeon with over 13 years of clinical practice based in Allentown, PA. He is part of many area hospitals, including St. Luke’s Sacred Heart and Lehigh Valley, and provides comprehensive reconstructive/cosmetic plastic surgery.
Dr. Jan graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine with his MD. He completed his general surgery residency at Rutgers Health/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School followed by additional training for plastics at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston. He is also board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Jan does a wide variety of surgical procedures including facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, breast reconstruction/surgery, and cosmetic/aesthetic surgery with an individualized approach to treatments, focusing on both function and aesthetics.
In addition to being in clinical practice, Dr. Jan has also been involved with multiple peer-reviewed publications, including work on the inflammatory response to injury and “variability in critical care treatment” that has appeared in Annals of Surgery and Shock. Additionally, he has performed research on the human body’s response to physiological stress.
