About Azita Madjidi, MD, MS, FACS

Dr. Azita Madjidi, MD, MS, FACS, is an accomplished plastic surgeon with board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, she practices out of Houston, Texas, with significant expertise in all areas of adult and pediatric cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.

Dr. Madjidi obtained her medical degree at Caen Medical School, located in the Normandy region of France. She completed her residency in Maxillofacial Surgery and Stomatology, ultimately graduating and earning her French Board certification in 1991. Following this training, she held the title of Chief of Clinics-Assistant in Pediatric Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery at Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital in Paris. In this role, Dr. Madjidi treated patients suffering from congenital birth defects such as cleft lip and cleft palate, as well as provided education and training for both medical students and residents.

In pursuit of additional craniofacial surgical training, Dr. Madjidi had the unique opportunity to work under the mentorship of Dr. Paul Tessier. Subsequently, she completed a formal craniofacial fellowship program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. After the completion of her fellowship, Dr. Madjidi opened her practice in Paris, France. In March 2004, she relocated to Houston to fulfill all requirements for becoming a plastic surgery specialist in the United States, including her fellowship in Microvascular Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Madjidi is recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. Dr. Madjidi has participated in international medical trips and is fluent in Persian.
