About Ayca Ergan Sahin, MD

With extensive training in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, Dr. Ayça Ergan Şahin MD is a board-certified surgeon residing in Istanbul, Turkey, and has significant experience both nationally and internationally in the areas of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Dr. Ergan Şahin completed her medical degree at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and finished her residency in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Health Sciences University Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital, where she was also awarded her board certification from Health Sciences University Okmeydanı Hospital forPlastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (PRAS).

To continue developing her skills and knowledge in plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, Dr. Ergan Şahin has pursued additional training internationally, including completing an ISAPS Surgical Fellowship as well as participating in several observerships at various prestigious institutions such as the University of Pittsburgh Magee-Womens Hospital, UNC Chapel Hill and Charles University via the Erasmus Exchange Program. These types of opportunities enabled Dr. Ergan Şahin to have access to advanced training in all areas of aesthetic, reconstructive, and breast surgery.

In addition to these experiences, Dr. Ergan Şahin holds numerous accreditations that include EBOPRAS (European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery), ECFMG certification and is registered with the UK General Medical Council (GMC). Dr. Ergan Şahin is also an active member of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (TPRECD) and has dedicated her time to serving on committees and participating in teaching and training within the organization.

In her practice, Dr. Ergan Şahin strives to ensure that her patients receive care in a safe environment, develop individualized treatment plans for each patient and deliver natural, aesthetic, and harmonious results through ongoing medical education and evidence-based medicine.
