Dr. Arthur Edmon Flynn practices as a plastic surgeon. A board-certified member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he provides surgical and non-surgical services to patients suffering from conditions affecting their skin (e.g., Mohs surgery or Mohs micrographic surgery), muscle (e.g., hernias or ruptures), bones (e.g., fractures), and nerves (e.g., carpal tunnel syndrome or Dupuytren’s contracture). Additionally, Dr. Flynn is licensed to practice medicine in both California and New York.
Dr. Flynn received his MD from UCSF’s School of Medicine after completing his undergraduate education at USDS. He also received extensive post-graduate medical education through residencies in General Surgery at the UCSF Medical Center, Plastic Surgery at Bellevue Hospital Center, New York City, and further training at NYU School of Medicine.
During his medical career, Dr. Flynn has had multiple positions within surgical practices, including Anacapa Surgical Associates, Ventura County Medical Center, Community Memorial Hospital – Ventura, and St. Mary Medical Center – Long Beach. Dr. Flynn continues to maintain a private practice in Ventura, CA. Additionally, Dr. Flynn has served as a Visiting Scientist at Kawasaki Medical School located in Kurashiki, Japan.
In addition to being active in his private practice, Dr. Flynn is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons (CSPS).
