Dr. Aric Aghayan is a board-certified cosmetic surgeon at Après Plastic Surgery in Portland, Oregon, where he performs reconstructive and cosmetic surgery using both precise surgical techniques and an artistic flair to create natural-looking results. Dr. Aghayan received his undergraduate degree as well as his MD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. After completing his undergraduate education, he went on to complete eight (8) years of additional surgical residency and training at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). The residency training consisted of two distinct parts: the first part was a General Surgery Residency, and then a Cosmetic Surgery Residency.
In addition to his medical training, Dr. Aghayan is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served as a Medical Officer in both Iraq and Afghanistan, where he served as a Battalion Surgeon and provided care for injured Soldiers. His time in the military has been recognized through several awards such as the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal and Combat Action Ribbon. Through his experience in the military, he has gained an inherent understanding of the demands of providing reconstructive surgery and treating injured patients in difficult conditions.
Dr. Aghayan performs a variety of surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures, including breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tuck surgery, and non-surgical aesthetic treatments. Dr. Aghayan has privileges to practise and perform surgery at multiple accredited hospitals in the Portland area, and he enjoys spending his free time outside of his practice with family and friends.
