About Antonio Gayoso, MD

Dr. Antonio Gayoso is a board-certified plastic surgeon who practices in Saint Petersburg, Florida, with an emphasis on cosmetic surgery of the Face, Breast and Body. A native Floridian, Dr. Gayoso grew up in Gainesville and is the son of Cuban immigrants. He completed his undergraduate degrees at Duke University and the University of Florida before earning his medical degree from the University of Miami. He then went on to complete seven years of very rigorous surgical training at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he trained in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Gayoso started his practice in 1998 and became a solo practitioner in 2008. His combination of technical expertise, artistic vision and careful planning allows him to provide his patients with natural-looking and transformative results. He focuses on listening to his patients, effective communication and education as the basis for patient satisfaction when performing facial rejuvenation, breast surgery or Body Contouring.

Outside the operating room, Dr. Gayoso lives an active lifestyle, having participated in multiple triathlons, windsurfing, and cycling. He now enjoys the balance of his professional career and his personal interests, including music, movies, concerts, CrossFit and completing challenging 1,000-piece puzzles. He is a very proud father of two college-aged sons and enjoys the flexibility of being an almost empty nester due to his profession. With decades of experience and a focus on the needs of his patients, Dr. Gayoso is committed to giving them the best possible results.
