About Ankur Mehta, MD

Dr. Ankur Mehta, MD, holds board certification and fellowship training in plastic surgery. At his practice in Austin, Texas, he provides high-quality cosmetic surgery services while always keeping the patient’s needs and wishes front and center. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Dr. Mehta will work with you to develop an individualised treatment plan for both your aesthetic surgery and reconstructive surgery.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin, completing his studies with a perfect 4.0 GPA and then went on to attend The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where Dr. Mehta was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After completing an integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Dr. Mehta training in the field of Pediatric Burn Reconstruction at Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston.

Dr. Mehta’s clinical interests include breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck, facelift, neck lift, eyelid surgery, liposuction and combinations such as ‘mummy makeovers’ etc. In addition to these clinical topics, Dr. Mehta’s innovative techniques includes 360 degree liposuction and advanced techniques for breast lift, as well as significant importance placed upon patient safety, pain management and the immediate post-operative area, along with post-operative instructions. Dr. Mehta is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, and he is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
