About Anh Lee, MD, FACS

Dr. Anh Lee is known for her compassion and technical expertise as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. She is double board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. She is recognized for her kind bedside manner and expertise in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Lee has dedicated much of her career to performing both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, particularly breast reconstruction following trauma and cancer treatment.

Dr. Lee completed her 5-year residency in General Surgery, followed by a 2-year fellowship in Plastic Surgery and Reconstruction at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, which has one of the nation’s busiest trauma hospitals. In addition to her surgical training, Dr. Lee served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Throughout her training, Dr. Lee was involved in many research projects, including the Komen Grant for Breast Cancer Reconstruction.

Dr. Lee is highly experienced in the DIEP flap surgical technique, which allows patients to have their breasts reconstructed using their own tissue. Over the last decade, Dr. Lee has performed thousands of DIEP flap procedures and has provided her patients with guidance and support during their recoveries and reconstructions.

In addition to being an accomplished surgeon, Dr. Lee is also actively involved in several professional societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
