About Angela Cheng, MD

Dr. Angela Cheng is an experienced plastic surgeon who has been practicing in Atlanta, Georgia, for over a decade. She specializes in breast surgery, microsurgical breast reconstruction, and complex reconstructive procedures. Dr. Cheng practices at Emory University Hospital Midtown, Grady Memorial Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Emory University Hospital and has received extensive training and experience in her field.

Dr. Cheng graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine with a degree in medicine. After completing a general surgery residency at the University of Texas–Houston, she went on to complete an integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Virginia. Following this education, she completed extensive training in reconstructive microsurgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Cheng is board-certified in both general and plastic surgery, and she provides advanced surgical techniques, including abdominal flap reconstruction without donor sites, lymphedema surgery, reconstructive microsurgery, and procedures to create new or improve breast and body contouring.

Being fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Dr. Cheng provides all patients with a highly customized level of care that meets their individual needs. At Grady Memorial Hospital, Dr. Cheng co-directs the Emory Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery service, and she successfully combines her surgical expertise and innovative approaches to deliver empathetic surgery for all patients who want to restore form, function, and confidence.
