About Andy Hand, MD

Established in Central Texas, Dr. Andy Hand has served the Waco community as a plastic surgeon since 2011. He has performed thousands of surgeries for cosmetic enhancement and has earned a reputation for creating natural-looking results that are aesthetically pleasing and enhance overall balance and symmetry between individuals’ facial features and other body parts

Before becoming a noted plastic surgeon, Dr. Andy Hand spent eight years serving his country in the military as a medical professional. Following this honourable service, Andy completed both his undergraduate degree and his Doctorate in Medicine (MD) at the University of South Carolina, where he earned multiple academic accolades and was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society.

With the desire to become a plastic surgeon, Dr. Andy Hand started an internship in general surgery at the Methodist Hospital (now the Baylor Scott & White Health System) in Dallas, Texas. There, he gained valuable exposure to several of the leading plastic surgeons in the United States. Subsequently, he completed his residency in General Surgery at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation in Wisconsin, where he contributed multiple research papers and ranked at the top of his class.

Upon completing his general surgery training, he chose to pursue additional education and training in Advanced Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan. This advanced training provided him with significant experience in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body.
