Dr. Andrew M. Bonett is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon specializing in Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery. He provides patients with care after surgery for both breast and skin cancer, performs reconstructive surgeries following injuries, sculpts their bodies, and offers a complete range of cosmetic surgery options. Dr. Bonett is noted for having a meticulous surgical technique, as well as for focusing on the individual needs of every patient he works with, achieving results that appear natural both in appearance and tactile sensation.
Dr. Bonett received his Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery formal training through the Rush University Medical Center/Stroger Cook County Hospital (CCH) program based in Chicago. This is one of the best health care systems in the United States, based on its quality of care for patients. During his Fellowship training, he trained alongside top academicians within Plastic Surgery from Rush, The University of Chicago, and The University of Illinois-Cook County. He served as the Administrative Chief Fellow for almost two years, assisting in the development of the Integrated Residency Program and receiving numerous awards for Excellence in Academics and Resident Teaching. He has also published articles within the field and routinely provides surgical workshops for other professionals.
Raised in the heart of Florida, Dr. Bonett obtained his degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Florida. A master’s degree was awarded to him from the University of South Florida in Medical Sciences, having graduated at the top of his class. Following this, he went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and completed his residency in General Surgery at Prisma Health, where he was also accepted into an Honor Society and received an award for exemplary academic achievement.
