About Andres Taleisnik, MD

Dr. Andres Taleisnik is a highly skilled plastic and hand surgeon with significant training and experience in both reconstructive and aesthetic areas of surgery. He was born in Rochester, Minnesota, in 1962 to a father who was an accomplished hand surgeon, Dr. Julio Taleisnik.

After graduating from Princeton University, where he majored in Biology and graduated Summa Cum Laude, he received his medical degree from UCLA and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Taleisnik underwent extensive surgical training at UCLA, where he completed residencies in general, vascular, pediatric, trauma, cancer and plastic surgery. During his final year of residency, he was Chief Resident. He went on to complete advanced training in plastic surgery at UCLA and gained experience in craniofacial, pediatric, microvascular, oncological, hand, and cosmetic surgery. His extensive experience in these areas has resulted in numerous publications in the field of plastic surgery, as well as being the recipient of the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation Research Fellowship award.

Having joined the practice of his father in 1997, Dr. Taleisnik has built a reputation as a surgeon and innovator based on outstanding surgical skills. He has received extensive training with the foremost surgeons in the field and, as such, continues to provide his patients with the highest quality reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, and a passion for delivering exceptional care.
