About Amy Simon, MD, FACS

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Amy Simon, MD, FACS, is a double fellow with board certification who specializes in plastic surgery with a focus on cosmetics for breasts and body procedures, as well as facial and oculoplastic (eyelid) surgery. In addition to being located in Saint Petersburg, Florida, Dr. Simon is one of the few female plastic surgeons in the state, which makes her a highly regarded choice for patients looking to have breast augmentation, implant replacement, implant removal and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), as well as any type of body contouring following significant weight loss. Additionally, due to her expertise in these specific areas of specialty, she has become an expert in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and therefore offers her patients natural results in the areas of facelifts, necklifts and other forms of facial rejuvenation.

Dr. Simon completed her MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and went on to complete a demanding five-year combined general surgery/plastic & reconstructive surgery residency. After completing her residency, Dr. Simon received fellowship training in aesthetic/reconstructive breast surgery at the Center for Breast and Body Contouring in Michigan, where she received advanced training in using SPAIR (short-scar) breast reconstruction techniques; she was the first surgeon in the southeastern U.S. to have completed a fellowship in this technique. In addition to this fellowship, Dr. Simon then went on to complete another separate fellowship in cosmetic/oculoplastic eyelid surgery.

As a board-certified member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Simon has been named one of America’s most regarded plastic surgeons, one of the “10 Best” plastic surgeons in her home state, and is a recipient of the Women of Excellence Award.
