About Alyson Wells, MD, FACS

Dr. Alyson Wells is an outstanding plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a practice in the Baltimore-Washington region, where she is also double-board certified in both Plastic Surgery as well as Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She offers her patients exceptional expertise along with her very compassionate, patient-centered care. In addition to serving as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, she is known to be an accomplished physician educator at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Wells was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee, graduating with highest honors and was elected into Phi Beta Kappa. She graduated in the top 10% of her class from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and received the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Award, given to the top women medical students.

Dr. Wells completed post-graduate training through various residency programs, such as Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. She continued her training by completing a Cosmetic-Plastic residency and is also an established author on various topics related to facial plastic surgeries, Organ Transplants, and Cancer.

In addition, Dr. Wells is frequently recognized on “Top Doctor” lists and is admired by her peers for her commitment to patient care, surgical excellence, and advancing women’s roles in medicine. She also maintains an active family life.
