Dr. Alvaro Javier Testa Jr. is a plastic surgeon who is trained as a board-certified surgeon in plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery with experience in breast reconstruction and reconstructive surgery, as well as cosmetic surgery and body contouring. Dr. Testa was born in Panama and spent his youth in Colorado, where he became passionate about restoring people’s functions and forms, and also achieving an aesthetically pleasing appearance. Dr. Testa has a very detailed and meticulous way of performing procedures, which include precision techniques and artistry toward surgical results for each patient.
Dr. Testa graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine with an M.D., followed by completing his training in general surgery with Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency and completing training in plastic surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is board-certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
The practice of Dr. Testa consists primarily of reconstructive techniques used to treat patients after they have been diagnosed with cancer and/or undergone surgery for cancer. Reconstructive surgery can include such things as breast reconstruction, a type of cosmetic breast surgery, reconstructive abdominal wall surgery, cosmetic reshaping of the abdomen, wound care for surgical wounds, and minimally invasive cosmetic injection techniques like Botox and dermal fillers. Dr. Testa belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. His main goal is to make sure that patients feel safe, functional, and aesthetic in terms of their physical appearance while achieving their desired outcome of being natural and harmonious.
