About Alpay Duran, MD

Dr. Alpay Duran has been a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon for many years. He is highly trained in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Dr Duran graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 2008 (the English program), completed his education as a specialist in plastic surgery at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital from 2008 until 2014. He performed thousands of surgeries during this period, including surgeries related to hand trauma, tumour removal, aesthetic surgery and many other procedures.

After he finished his study and training, Dr Duran worked at Sinop Atatürk State Hospital as an Assistant Specialist from 2014 to 2015, and then served as a Clinical Administrative Officer and a Specialist Physician at Şanlıurfa Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital from 2015 until 2017. His clinical interests include abdominoplasty, breast augmentation with autologous tissue, the management of breast and facial trauma following major reconstructive surgery and the management of congenital hand syndrome, minimally invasive surgery techniques, and the surgical treatment of congenital hand and forearm deficiencies.

Dr. Duran has published numerous scientific articles both nationally and internationally as well and acts as a peer reviewer for many journal publications. Additionally, he has been an active member of many professional organizations, such as The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS) and The Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (TPRECD), The European Rhinoplasty Society, The Aesthetic Surgery Association (EPCD), and The Istanbul Medical Chamber.

In 2018, Dr. Duran began working independently as a physician by establishing the Lavien Clinic with his partner. Since that time, he has been treating patients throughout Europe, Canada and Australia. Dr. Duran is committed to merging his surgical skill with a focus on providing individualized care in order to create results that are both natural appearing, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.
