About Alexandro Aguilera, MD

Dr. Alexandro Aguilera, MD, is a dedicated specialist in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with multiple surgical training, both general and with subspecialty training. Dr. Aguilera graduated from Universidad Anáhuac del Norte medical school and finished his General Surgery Residency at the General Hospital of Mexico. He then went on to do his subspecialty in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the General Hospital “Dr. Manuel Gea González” and received additional training in Hand Surgery and Peripheral Nerve Surgery and Facial Paralysis.

Dr. Aguilera is a member of different professional organizations, such as the Mexican Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery (AMCPER), the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Plastic Surgery (FILACP), and the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (WSRM). He is also certified by the Mexican Council of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery (CMCPER).

Dr. Aguilera has contributed to academics as Associate Professor of the Experimental Microsurgery Training Course at UNAM, as well as participation in different national and international conferences. He has been awarded multiple prizes for his clinical work and research, including the 2016 Travel Grant from the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. He now practices at the National Institute of Pediatrics, where he strives to continue to serve with scientific precision and the patient in mind.
