About Alejandro Hernandez Pizzoglio, MD

Dr. Alejandro Hernandez Pizzoglio, MD, is an esteemed plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgeon who has practiced in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, for more than 28 years. He graduated with his degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) and completed his residency in Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Dr. Hernandez Pizzoglio has held many positions of leadership in the field, including on the Executive Committee, as Treasurer, and General Secretary of the Dominican Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Association. He has held positions as a Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago and the only National School of Plastic Surgery at Hospital Gautier, IDSS. Additionally, he served as Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Hospital Rafael Mañón, IDSS.

He is a member of various national and international societies, like the Dominican Medical College, the Medical Association of Argentina, the Plastic Society of Buenos Aires, Ibero Latino American Federation of Plastic Surgery (FILACP), IPRAS, IPRAF, and the International Society for Burn Injuries. Dr. Hernandez Pizzoglio has been recognized for his service by Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the Hospital Central of the Armed Forces and the First Lady of the Dominican Republic.

With a specialty in all aesthetic surgeries, he is recognized for providing quality, patient-centered care with an emphasis on safety, natural appearances, and patient satisfaction following surgery.
