About Alan L. Stephens, MD

Dr. Alan Stephens is a plastic and general surgeon, board-certified, with more than 20 years of experience in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, and currently is working with Bronson Plastic Surgery Specialists in Portage, Michigan, where he is committed to providing the complete spectrum of both surgical and non-surgical procedures aimed at optimizing function and form.

Dr. Stephens is proud to be a graduate of Indiana University and to have attended the Indiana University School of Medicine in preparation for his medical career. He completed a residency in general surgery at Rush University in Chicago, IL, prior to continuing his training in plastic surgery through a second residency at the Loyola University Medical Center located in Maywood, Illinois. Before joining Bronson, he developed and maintained a private practice in Fort Wayne, Indiana, for the past 21 years.

Dr. Stephens is conversational in English and Spanish, and emphasizes clear communication and patient-centered, individualized care. His practice areas extend to definitively include breast augmentation & reconstruction, facelifts, abdominoplasties, body contouring, burn & wound reconstruction, and reconstructive microsurgery.

Dr. Stephens is known for honestly demonstrating excellent precision, compassion and attention to safety. He continues to assist patients with obtaining natural and confident results through the use of the latest surgical techniques and a patient-centered philosophy surrounding plastic and reconstructive surgery.
