About Ahmed Abdullah, MD, FACS

Dr. Ahmed Abdullah is a board-certified cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon known for his distinction in both surgical practice and skin health innovation. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and the American Board of Surgery and is a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine.

As a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, International College of Surgeons, and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Abdullah is a highly respected figure in the field. He obtained his medical degree from Northwestern University and completed his surgical education, obtaining additional formal specialty training, at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, training with two of the world’s esteemed surgeons, Drs. Martin Robson and John Heggers, who kindly allowed him to train with them in hospital surgical practice. While training, he learned unique and innovative techniques in wound healing using pharmaceutical-grade aloe, which was the foundation for Dr. Abdullah’s lifelong research commitment and innovative technique development surrounding skin health.

Dr. Abdullah founded Lexli®, which is an aloe-based skincare line formulated by a physician and is the author of Simple Skincare, Beautiful Skin. He remains dedicated to educating medical professionals and consumers about skin health from around the world through his work and lectures. He lives in Fargo, North Dakota, where he practices at the Plastic Surgery Institute PC and directs the Abdullah Ambulatory Surgery Center, where science, artistry, and compassion intersect for every patient experience.
