About Adrian Smith, MD

Dr. Adrian R. Smith is a well-respected plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in Flowood, Mississippi, practicing at Merit Health River Oaks, Merit Health Woman’s Hospital, and St. Dominic Hospital, where he serves as chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Smith is an original from Baton Rouge and earned his B.S. in Biology from Millsaps College as well as his M.D. from LSU Health Science Center, Shreveport. He then moved back to University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi to complete residency training in both general surgery and plastic surgery.

During his seven years of residency training, Dr. Smith has gained a wealth of experience in reconstructive surgery, pediatric surgery, craniofacial surgery, and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Smith has special interests and passion for breast and body contouring, and subsequently spoke at the first-ever Bariatric Plastic Surgery Workshop on breast reduction, mastopexy, and advanced techniques in liposuction. Dr. Smith is one of the few surgeons in Mississippi credentialed to perform Sculptra, a new innovative and longer-lasting face filler.

In conjunction with his surgical practice, Dr. Smith works with The Face and Body Spa to provide both surgical and non-surgical enhancement treatments. In his free time, Dr. Smith enjoys photography, being outdoors, and spending time with his wife, Jessica and their three children, Olivia, Luke, and Sam.
