About Adam David Lowenstein, MD, FACS

Dr. Adam Lowenstein is a double board-certified plastic surgeon committed to providing excellent, ethical, and thoughtful patient care. He was born in Washington, D.C., and started his journey into medicine doing research in pediatric trauma at Children’s National Medical Center, publishing his first article by the age of 21. He graduated from medical school at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and completed 11 years of post-graduate training in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts, becoming board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Lowenstein has a wealth of experience in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, but also specializes in complex reconstructive surgery, including cancer surgery and congenital deformity repair. Before deciding to establish a practice in Santa Barbara, he spent six years in Denver, Colorado, where he grew a reputation for surgical skill and integrity.

Dr. Lowenstein, an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and a respected national presenter, is currently serving on the Board of Directors. Associate Dr. Lowenstein believes that the best result and the best relationship come from being honest, performing things honestly and correctly, and having respect for each patient as an individual person with individual goals, guided by his principle to always “do the right thing.”
