About Aaron Pelletier, MD

Dr. Aaron Pelletier, MD, is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon at City of Hope Chicago, where he also serves as Chief of Surgical Services. His focus is on complex reconstruction after treatment for cancer using refined surgical techniques for the face, neck, chest, breast, abdomen, pelvis and/or extremities. He rebuilds form and function for the person who has experienced cancer and has undergone treatment for that cancer.

Dr. Pelletier earned his medical degree at the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery and later became the Zaccone Family Fellow of Reconstructive Microsurgery and Breast Surgery. He completed his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology at Dartmouth College.

Dr. Pelletier is thoroughly dedicated to providing conscientious, patient-centered care at City of Hope. He believes that by fostering trust, teamwork, and transparency, teams can achieve successful outcomes because patients are constantly involved and engaged in the reconstructive experience and process. This commitment to personalization coincides with City of Hope’s broader commitment to improve harmony and facilitate patient empowerment in cancer care. 

Dr. Pelletier is a member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. Outside of medicine, he enjoys a busy family life along with skiing, golf, tennis, and various other outdoor activities.
