About Aaron D. Smith, MD

Dr. Aaron D. Smith holds a dual board-certified surgeon in plastic surgery, trained in general surgery with a dedication to innovation and patient-focused care. He is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, reinforcing his commitment to excellence in medicine. Dr. Smith completed his General Surgery training at the University of Arizona then went on to his fellowship training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota, with mentors who developed a center specializing in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Smith has undergone specialized training to help provide breast reconstructive care for patients with breast surgery due to breast cancer. He works closely with breast surgeons in the Colorado Springs area to provide comprehensive and restorative care for all patients.

Additionally, he is also qualified and credentialed to provide cosmetic surgeries (such as breast and body contouring procedures, eyelid lifts, brow lifts, and rhinoplasty), as well as non-invasive treatments (including Botox, Juvéderm, Restylane, and Obagi skincare products). Known for his kindness and concern for the care of all patients, Dr. Smith takes the time to get to know each patient and their goals, and is involved in global outreach, volunteering his time on medical mission trips in underdeveloped areas and performing surgical repair for cleft lip and palate in Hanoi, Vietnam.
