About A. Peter Salas, MD

Triple board-certified, Dr. A. Peter Salas is well-known for being highly skilled in hand, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery. Besides, he is an expert in wound care, general surgery, and microsurgery. Dr. Salas employs the best surgical techniques in New York and New Jersey. Whatever his patients need, be it surgery or a less invasive procedure, he also focuses on what they actually require.

He received his training under Dr. Ian Jackson after graduating from New York Medical College with his medical degree. Dr. Jackson is one of the founders of modern plastic surgery. He received training in microvascular and hand surgery at the University of Washington and received his general surgery residency from Sinai Grace Hospital. He received his residency in cosmetic surgery from St. Barnabas Medical Center. He is now able to handle anything, ranging from minor procedures to complicated surgeries, due to his immense experience and knowledge.

Aside from being a surgeon, Dr. Salas also teaches and has trained other surgeons around the globe. The Consumers Research Council of America listed him as one of America’s Top Plastic Surgeons, and Vogue included him in their “Top Choices in the Tri-States.” He is most known among physicians for employing “scarless” minimally invasive techniques that are aimed at encouraging faster healing and more natural results. Currently, he is affiliated with Morristown Memorial, St. Barnabas of New Jersey, and Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan.
