Dr. Ayotunde O. Adeyeri is a physician who specializes in performing advanced gastrointestinal surgeries as well as doing minimally invasive surgical techniques with a primary emphasis on bariatric and metabolic surgeries. After completing two years of general surgery residency training at the Harlem Hospital Center, he expanded his surgical skill set by completing one additional year of fellowship training at the University of Rochester (UR) in the area of Advanced GI Minimally Invasive Surgery.
As an active physician member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), he participates in continuing education and has been recognized for his commitment to ensuring a high level of quality in his medical practice by receiving the Certification for Meaningful Use Stage 1 from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). He has also been certified by a board medical certification examination through ABMS.
In addition, Dr. Adeyeri has contributed to the scientific literature through peer-reviewed publications in the area of transplant immunology, as well as through written case reports regarding several complex diagnostic challenges faced by health care providers, such as pancreatic tuberculosis that can be mistaken for a malignancy.
