Dr. Ariel Shuchleib is a board-certified general and bariatric surgeon at Saint Agnes Care Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery in Fresno, California. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery. He grew up in Mexico City, where he received his medical degree from the University of Anahuac. During this time, he has volunteered actively (and continues to) with private and public organizations that support communities impacted by natural disasters.
After earning his medical degree, Dr. Shuchleib continued his training/residency at NY Presbyterian/Queens – Weill Cornell Medical College, where he won two awards: Resident of the Year and Best Teaching Resident. He pursued a fellowship in bariatric and general surgery at UCSF Fresno, where he earned a Master of Science degree and is currently pursuing a PhD in Health Sciences.
Throughout his career, Dr. Shuchleib has completed numerous types of surgery, including gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, reflux surgery, gallbladder removal and appendectomies; as well as hernia repairs, etc. Dr. Shuchleib is committed to assisting patients in overcoming their chronic medical conditions, rebuilding their self-confidence, and achieving long-term wellness. He combines surgical excellence with individualized treatment to ensure each patient receives a treatment plan tailored to their needs in order to achieve long-term success and change their lives.
