About Dr. Anthony T. DiBenedetto

Dr. Anthony T. DiBenedetto is a board-certified general surgeon who has been doing bariatric, minimally invasive, and complex general surgery for many years. He got his M.D. at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. Additionally, he did one transitional year at Bassett HealthCare and after that, general surgery training at the University at Buffalo, completing general surgery training, which laid a solid surgical care and patient safety foundation. Dr. DiBenedetto is certified by the American Board of Surgery and maintains active medical licenses in New York and South Dakota in line with his broad clinical practice and dedication to the highest standards of surgical practice. His main areas are weight-loss surgery, laparoscopic procedures, and advanced general surgery. He not only combines technical skill but also patient-centered care to deliver the best possible results.

He has been acknowledged for his pioneering spirit and commitment to quality improvement in healthcare. He was awarded CMS Meaningful Use Stage 1 and Stage 2 certifications for his skills in electronic health record systems such as EpicCare Inpatient and SoftLab.
