Dr. Ann M. Rogers, MD, is a qualified surgeon who has specialized in bariatric and metabolic surgical procedures, as well as advanced methods of conducting gastrointestinal procedures using minimal invasiveness. Dr. Rogers received her MD from Weill Cornell Medicine and completed a general surgery residency at the Icahn School of Medicine, Mount Sinai. Dr. Rogers completed her fellowship training at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center with a focus on advanced laparoscopic methods of performing bariatric and complex laparoscopic surgeries.
Dr. Rogers has an extensive publication record documenting her contributions to the fields of metabolic and bariatric surgery, with several publications discussing outcomes for patients undergoing surgical treatment for obesity, patient safety, and methods for improving patient safety in regard to surgical treatment for obesity. Dr. Rogers is also actively involved in researching new ways to decrease the incidence of complications after bariatric surgery, including research to help improve clinical decision-making for patients considering surgery for weight loss. Dr. Rogers is involved nationally in various leadership activities through membership on multiple committees for the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), and the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
