Dr. Andy L. Hawthorne is a board-certified General Surgeon located in Round Rock, Texas. He has more than 15 years of clinical experience and specializes in providing acute care surgery, trauma surgery, and robotic-assisted surgical procedures to patients throughout Central Texas.
Dr. Hawthorne received his M.D. from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in 2002 before completing a general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas from 2002 to 2007. His training included a strong emphasis on complex surgical procedures, emergency surgical care, and the successful management of patients.
He holds both board certification by the American Board of Surgery and an active Texas State Medical License. As a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.), Dr. Hawthorne demonstrates his commitment to maintaining high standards of surgical excellence and providing quality care for patients.
Through his relationships with numerous leading hospitals throughout Central Texas, including St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Lakeway, Dr. Hawthorne provides advanced surgical procedures and extensive services to a diverse patient population. Dr. Hawthorne is also an advocate for implementing modern healthcare practices into the surgical community and has received CMS Achievements and Recognition awards from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
