Dr. Andrea Bedrosian is a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in bariatric surgery and minimally invasive surgery and has a practice located in Great Neck, New York. She is affiliated with North Shore University Hospital, where she provides comprehensive general surgical care to patients with obesity and other complex gastrointestinal conditions.
Dr. Bedrosian received her MD from New York University School of Medicine in 2006; she completed her general surgery residency at NYU Grossman School of Medicine from 2006-2013, during which time she received extensive training related to advanced surgical techniques and patient-centered care. Dr. Bedrosian’s clinical areas of expertise include: bariatric surgery, minimally invasive surgery, hiatal/hernias, paraesophageal hernias, and general hernias. She is dedicated to ensuring the health and quality of life of her patients through modern surgical procedures and individualized care.
Dr. Bedrosian is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), as well as a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Bedrosian has produced numerous academic writings and contributed to a variety of research studies in the field of Surgical Gastroenterology. She has written and published articles in several respected journals, including Gastroenterology, The Journal of Experimental Medicine, and The European Journal of Anaesthesiology.
