About Dr. Amit Trivedi

Amit Trivedi, MD, is an experienced board-certified surgeon whose main focus is on the field of advanced laparoscopic, bariatric & robotic surgery. In practice at Advanced Laparoscopic Associates, he has been recognized as a leader in the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques. Currently, he is serving as the Chairman of Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center at Pascack Valley.

Dr. Trivedi earned both his bachelor’s degree & MD degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook. After completing his internship & general surgery residency at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (formerly known as the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey), he completed a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic & robotic surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center.

Dr. Trivedi has also established himself as a pioneer in robotic surgery, performing the first series of robotic surgical procedures in the United States utilizing advanced augmented intelligence features for real-time navigation with the TransEnterix Senhance Robotic Surgical System™. His contributions have helped increase awareness of how robotics & innovative technology will change the way surgical care is delivered around the world.
