Dr. Alok D. Gandhi, DO, is a fellowship-trained bariatric and minimally invasive surgeon working in Rochester, NY, who performs advanced surgical procedures for patients suffering from obesity and related medical problems at various local hospitals. Hospitals heβs affiliated with include Rochester General Hospital, Park Ridge β Unity Hospital, and Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Dr. Gandhi graduated from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002. Dr. Gandhi completed his residency in general surgery at St. Barnabas Hospital in NY from 2002 β 2007. After completing his residency, Dr. Gandhi was a fellow in Bariatric Surgery at the University Medical Center at Princeton in NJ from 2007 β 2008 and gained extensive experience using Minimally Invasive and Metabolic Surgery techniques during his training.
Dr. Gandhi is certified by the AOA Board of Surgery, as well as being a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He is recognized for his surgical and medical management of obesity. He is also a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and a member of the American Osteopathic Association.
