About Dr. Alexandra Louise Argiroff, MD

Dr. Alexandra Louise Argiroff (M.D.) is an experienced and board-certified General Surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. She has been praised for her clinical practice and research efforts geared toward improving surgical outcomes for patients undergoing bariatric and/or gastrointestinal surgical procedures.

In 2012, Dr. Argiroff received her Doctorate of Medicine from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS). She completed a General Surgery residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York) from 2012-2017, receiving extensive training in advanced surgical techniques and patient-centered care.

As a result of her extensive training and degrees, Dr. Argiroff holds multiple board certifications by the American Board of Surgery and has multiple licensed to practice medicine in a number of states, including New York, Wisconsin, Nevada, New Mexico, New Jersey, Ohio, and Oregon, demonstrating her diverse professional background and ability to work across several different health care systems.

Aside from her clinical role as a surgeon, Dr. Argiroff has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed surgical journals related to her continued research in the field of surgery. Her research projects have addressed various important topics in surgery, including, but not limited to, the management of gastric perforations, the management of post-operative pain following bariatric surgery, and outcomes of bariatric procedures for the elderly population. These research projects help to advance the field of metabolic and gastrointestinal surgery and improve the quality of patient care.

With continuing research projects that continue will build upon Dr. Argiroff’s expertise. The body of Dr. Argiroff’s work provides an excellent resource for continuing to address various issues related to the treatment of patients with obesity or other metabolic diseases.
