About Dr. Alexander Abdurakhmanov, MD

Brooklyn, New York’s Dr. Alexander Abdurakhmanov, MD, is a board-certified general and bariatric surgeon transforming lives with minimally invasive surgical techniques. His approach focuses on providing each patient with individualized treatment based on their specific needs.

Dr. Abdurakhmanov received his Doctor of Medicine at the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in Israel. After completing his residency in general surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, he amassed valuable clinical knowledge in both general and bariatric surgery before furthering his expertise in Minimally Invasive Surgery through a fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he specialized in laparoscopic and metabolic surgery.

A few examples of the types of surgeries that Dr. Abdurakhmanov performs include laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, laparoscopic gastric bypass, laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, and both laparoscopic and open hernia repair. He also removes lipomas and cysts using other modern techniques.
