About Dr. Alex R. Espinal

Dr. Alex R. Espinal, MD, is a highly qualified, board-certified general surgeon who has specialized experience in performing minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery. He is dedicated to providing the highest quality surgical care through the use of current techniques that enhance safety during surgery and speed up the rate of recovery for patients.

Dr. Espinal obtained his degree in medicine from Northeast Ohio Medical University and completed his general surgery residency at Summa Health System/NEOMED, where he received extensive education in general surgery and minimally invasive surgery. After completing his medical training, Dr. Espinal began performing surgeries with a focus on providing patients with patient-centered care and effectively managing a wide variety of surgical conditions.

Dr. Espinal is certified by the American Board of Surgery and has a current medical license to practice medicine in South Carolina. Throughout his career, Dr. Alex has continued to develop his knowledge and skills as a surgeon through his commitment to professional development and the integration of new healthcare technologies that will enhance the quality of patient care and clinical efficiency.
