About Dr. Ahmed F. Attia

Dr. Ahmed F. Attia, DO is a qualified General and Bariatric Surgeon who is Board Certified and the Founder of ESA South Jersey Bariatrics, PA which was established in 2010. He is affiliated with Inspira Health Network, and is currently serving as Director of Bariatric Surgery in Vineland New Jersey where he provides advanced surgical care to patients seeking weight-loss as well as performing general surgery.

Dr. Attia grew up in Egypt and obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Alexandria Faculty of Medicine. He then attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and completed a General Surgery Residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in New York where he was appointed as Chief Surgical Resident, then a Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

His area of expertise is in Bariatric Surgery with a focus on laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery, laparoscopic bariatric revisions and Lap-Band surgeries. He has done more than 5,000 Bariatric Surgery procedures. Also, he performs a wide variety of General Surgical procedures such as gallbladder surgery, appendectomy surgery, colon surgery, and hernia surgery.

As an innovator in the field, Dr. Attia is a leader in the fields of laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, and he is committed to enhancing the Quality of Life for his patients.
