Dr. Aditya Gupta is a board-certified surgeon who specializes in general surgery and has training in both Bariatric surgery and Advanced Esophageal Surgery through Fellowships. He has extensive experience in performing surgical procedures related to the complex cholinergic and achalasia conditions of the esophagus, stomach, and abdomen.
Dr. Gupta’s practice focuses primarily on treating patients with Hiatal and Paraesophageal Hernias; Refractory Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD); using Nissen Fundoplication; Achalasia; using Esophageal Myotomy; and he also performs a variety of different kinds of Bariatric Surgery, Complex Ventral, Incisional and Inguinal Hernia Repairs, Hepatobiliary Procedures, Acute Care Surgery, as well as the management of Esophageal, Gastric and Colorectal Malignancies.
Dr. Gupta received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India and completed his General Surgery Residency at both Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT and Harlem Hospital Center in New York, NY. He then completed his Fellowship in Bariatrics and Advanced Surgical practices at both Swedish Thoracic Surgery in Seattle, WA and Legacy Health System in Portland, OR. Dr. Gupta is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Gupta speaks both English and Hindi fluently and treats patients of all ages.
