Andrew J. Morse, D.O., a board-certified general surgeon with almost twenty years of experience, is devoted to providing compassionate, complete surgical care for the Grand Junction area. Dr. Morse joined Surgical Associates in 2006 and was impressed by the outreach, teamwork, and camaraderie amongst the physicians in the Mesa County medical community. This cooperative environment, he feels, is beneficial to the quality of care received by patients.
Dr. Morse was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in San Diego, California. He received his undergraduate education from Brigham Young University (BYU), and afterwards, earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing his internship and residency at Memorial Hospital, York, Pennsylvania, Dr. Morse became certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.
Dr. Morse has a broad clinical knowledge of many procedures: General Surgery, Bariatric (Obesity) Surgery, Venous Insufficiency Treatment, Endoscopy, Colorectal Cancer Care, Breast Cancer Surgery, Hernia Repair, Gallbladder Surgery, Appendectomy, and Skin Cancer Removal. Dr. Morse is also fluent in Spanish, having learned the language while serving a two-year mission for his church in Chile.
In addition to pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Morse enjoys fishing, hunting, hiking, snowboarding and serving as a Scout Leader. Dr. Morse has four children and is married to his wife, Kelly.
