Dr. Aleksandra Ogrodnik, M.D., is a physician certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, primarily with a focus on bariatric and minimally invasive procedures, including preventive and weight-loss oriented surgical care. After her advanced training and specialized training in minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Ogrodnik is committed to assisting populations with better future health and quality of life, even if that means providing an evidence-based surgical intervention.
Dr. Ogrodnik earned her M.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed her General Surgery Residency at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut, prior to a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Staten Island University Hospital. Therefore, she gained clinically-oriented hands-on experience with several advanced laparoscopic techniques and robotic instrumentation. Lastly, Dr. Ogrodnik completed training through the DaVinci Robotic Surgery Fellowship Course, contributing to a plethora of specialized training related to advanced robotics surgical technology.
Her clinical interests encompass perioperative care, weight-management surgery, bariatric surgery, and general surgery. She is an active member of the American College of Surgeons and is recognized for her thorough and detail-oriented approach, quality of communication, and patient-focused, individualized care.
Dr. Ogrodnik is part of the Trinity Health of New England Medical Group and the Trinity Health of New England Care Alliance.
