About Aramis Vega, MD

Aramis Vega, MD, is an accomplished plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, who provides excellent, individualized, safe, and results-driven treatment to his patients. Dr. Vega has had extensive training in both general and specialized surgery; he combines his technical precision and artistic ability to achieve the patient’s aesthetic and reconstructive goals.

Dr. Vega received his medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), located in Santiago de los Caballeros. Subsequently, he completed his training in general surgery at Central Hospital of Armed Forces located in Santo Domingo and furthered his surgical expertise in plastic and reconstructive surgery by training at Hospital Marcilio Dias in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The international training of Dr. Vega has given him the ability to gain experience performing a variety of different surgeries, including but not limited to: facial surgery, breast augmentation, breast reconstruction, body shaping, abdominoplasty, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery and microsurgery.

In addition to his training, Dr. Vega is a member of several professional societies, including Dominican Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (SODOCIPRE), FILACP, and IPRAS. He is devoted to staying current with the latest surgical advances and techniques as they develop. The professional development of Dr. Vega has positioned him well to provide exceptional patient care; his emphasis is focused on the patient experience by keeping every patient well informed, comfortable and confident throughout the entire surgical experience.
