About Ashley Howarth, MD

Dr. Ashley Howarth is a highly qualified board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgical options. She was trained at Mayo Clinic Arizona during her re-credentialing for her Board Certification in Plastic Surgery, and previously completed her General Surgery training at Texas A&M Baylor Scott & White. Dr. Howarth received her M.D. degree from the University of Louisville and finished with an impressive total of 9 years of postgraduate surgical training before obtaining her Board Certification.

The aesthetic outcomes that Dr. Howarth provides her patients are a direct result of her technical proficiency as a surgeon and her focus on achieving the best possible results for each patient. Her clinical interests are primarily focused on the aesthetic/surgical area; however, her ultimate goal when performing cosmetic surgery is to have a customized treatment plan for each patient with careful attention to detail.

In addition to being involved in clinical practice, Dr. Howarth also holds a faculty appointment at Mayo Clinic as an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery. She is actively involved in providing education and training to future plastic surgeons. In addition, Dr. Howarth is an active member of the Arizona Society of Plastic Surgeons. This leadership role reflects the confidence her colleagues have placed in her.

As a physician, Dr. Howarth is dedicated to providing a patient-centered approach and to establishing a relationship with her patients through empathy, honesty and open communication. She is also very active in the community, supporting charitable organizations in her local area and mentoring medical students who want to become surgeons.
