Dr. Alberto Enrique Pérez Bañuelos is a certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who is known for his commitment to restoring both appearance and function via innovative surgical techniques. He obtained his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Baja California and subsequently completed his general surgery residency at the Bajío National Medical Center, where he was awarded the University Medal of Merit in 2012.
He completed his residency in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery at the National Medical Center of the West in Guadalajara before doing a Fellowship at INNOVARE Surgical Specialties Hospital, where he trained under the surgical guidance of Dr. Lázaro Cárdenas Camarena, a world-renowned expert in facial feminization surgery.
Dr. Pérez Bañuelos has received ample training involving cosmetic, reconstructive and microvascular surgery, including burns, hand and pediatric reconstruction. His ongoing practice reflects a strong dedication to inclusion, with his focus on facial feminization surgery assisting patients in improving the congruence between patient identity and appearance.
He is an active member of the Mexican Association of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery (AMCPER) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), working under the highest moral and professional principles of surgical good practice and providing compassionate care.
