About Andrei Rios, MD

Dr. Andrei Ríos is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon who has been recognized for his major accomplishments in the field and has completed extensive training, as well as a commitment to the safety of all of his patients. He received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and graduated with honors for his academic excellence. Following a five-year residency in General Surgery, Dr. Ríos completed his subspecialty training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, which is considered to be one of the most reputable training programs in Mexico, where he was appointed Chief Resident and received the award for Distinguished Resident. Dr. Ríos continued to develop his surgical skill set by completing a Fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery that was sponsored by a university.

In addition to his rigorous medical training, Dr. Ríos has gained additional experience through training experiences at several prestigious U.S. hospitals, including California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, and Shriners Hospitals for Children, Galveston.

Through peer-reviewed scientific publications and continued engagement as both a presenter and an organizer for various local/national/international conferences, Dr. Ríos is a leader in the development of new techniques and therapies related to aesthetics.

His passion lies with body contouring, specifically: liposuction, fat transfers (Brazilian butt lift), tummy tucks, post-weight loss reconstruction, and breast-related surgical procedures. Safety and improving communication between the healthcare provider and the patient are always foremost in Dr. Ríos’s thinking, and by establishing a working partnership with each patient, he can guide them toward achieving their desired cosmetic outcome with confidence.
