Dr. Andre R. Nunn has over 35 years of experience and is widely recognized for his skillful performance of both surgical methods. He has vast experience, bringing a wealth of clinical knowledge to bear on many different types of procedures such as morbid obesity treatment, endovascular surgeries, disc replacement surgeries, endovenous ablation, and robotic surgeries, among others. In addition to practicing in Southern Illinois, where he currently serves, Dr. Nunn holds a medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his surgical residency at the Marshall University School of Medicine. Dr. Nunn is also board-certified through the American Board of Surgery.
In addition to serving on the board of the American Board of Surgery and the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Nunn actively participates in numerous prestigious organizations, including (but not limited to) the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. His contributions to advancing surgical care can be found in both his practice and through professional publications. Dr. Nunn’s dedication to using modern, minimally invasive surgical approaches to aid patient recovery and improve outcomes remains a primary focus of both his clinical practice and his commitment to the future of Surgical Care.
Dr. Nunn is fluent in English/Haitian/Haitian Creole and is committed to providing accessible care that is based on the needs of his patients, regardless of their background. Dr. Nunn’s philosophy continues to be that he provides the highest standard of surgical care to all his patients. Dr. Nunn also accepts new patients and accepts Medicare and other major insurance providers.
