As a general surgeon specializing in bariatric and minimally invasive procedures, Dr. Andrew Lederman is located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He provides comprehensive care to individuals suffering from a wide variety of diseases, such as biliary tract, esophageal and gastric cancer, as well as other gastrointestinal problems.
Dr. Lederman earned his MD at the University of Virginia, after training in the Surgery Residency Program at the University of Rochester Medical Center; he then completed a Fellowship in Advanced Gastrointestinal Minimally Invasive Surgery at Emory University. In doing so, he gained further knowledge and experience in performing complex laparoscopic surgeries as well as providing patients with weight-loss methods.
Dr. Lederman has been published in many prominent surgical-related journals such as Obesity, Surgical Endoscopy and Annals of Surgery, as well as being awarded the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Service Meaningful Use Stage 1 Certification. He is licensed and certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
