About Dr. Andrew Wu, MD, FASMBS

Dr. Andrew S. Wu, Certified Surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, is a licensed and certified physician, specializing in Bariatric and Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery. He is currently located at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, and works as the Chief of Bariatric and General Surgery as well as the Surgical Director of the New England Weight Management Institute.

Dr. Wu graduated from the Northwestern University Medical School, and completed his General Surgery internship/r residency at the Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly MCP-Hahnemann Hospital) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed two years of research fellowship training in trauma and wound healing, where he studied improving the efficiency and teamwork of anaesthesia during trauma resuscitation, and advancing the techniques of bariatric, minimally invasive laparoscopic, and single-incision operations. He finished his post-graduate training with his Minimally Invasive, Bariatric, and Endocrine Laparoscopic Surgery Fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.

Dr. Wu has a great deal of experience with complex hernia repairs, advanced laparoscopic GI surgery, and providing exceptional results for bariatric surgery patients using minimally invasive surgery in a single incision technique.
