Dr. Allan D. MacIntyre has been a recognized surgeon and physician since 1997, when he received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from the Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences College. He completed a General Surgery residency at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (1999–2003) and a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at the same institution (2003–2004), enabling him to effectively care for patients facing very acute illnesses as well as those suffering from trauma. Throughout his career, Dr. MacIntyre has developed extensive experience managing trauma patients in high-acuity facilities and performing complex surgeries.
The American Osteopathic Association Board of Surgery has certified Dr. Allan D. MacIntyre in two specialties: surgery and surgical critical care (CAQ). His credentials are also reflected through his active medical licenses in Georgia, Texas, Michigan, Nevada and Virginia, which further demonstrate his extensive clinical experience as a physician/surgeon.
In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. MacIntyre has published multiple peer-reviewed research articles that advance medical knowledge regarding acute surgical airways, production metrics of acute care surgery, and techniques used to control hemorrhage in trauma patients and in trauma cases requiring immediate surgical intervention.
